Keep in mind, depending on when you’re booking or how far in advance you’re booking these prices can fluctuate dramatically, this is one of the most expensive cities in the world after all.

Also, don’t expect to score a deal in Midtown during the busiest times of year to visit like the Christmas holiday season or June through August when everyone is on summer break taking their holidays. For example after the New Year before spring break is one of the most affordable times of year to visit the city!

The Jane
113 Jane St, Meatpacking District
The Jane is one of the most popular (& gorgeous/historic) inexpensive hotels in NYC that also happens to look straight out of a Wes Anderson film. Complete with a bellhop in uniform, the classic burgundy combined with woodwork decor, and their cabin-style rooms. Sadly, the famous ballroom is no more.
This is also one of the most historic affordable NYC hotels you can stay at built in 1908 by the same designer behind Ellis Island and famously hosted survivors of the Titanic in 1912. Their ballroom, which closed off to the public in 2022, was a famous nightlife and gathering place.
