Another ice cream spot that has found its home in Brooklyn is Carvel. Since 1929, Carvel has been the place for friends and family to hangout and enjoy a tasty treat. 

Founded by Tom Carvel, his main goal was to bring happiness to Brooklyn and to spread as many smiles as he could throughout New York. He was also the founder of soft-serve ice cream.

This ice cream shop in Brooklyn has become one of the best places to pick up quarts or pints of your favorite ice cream! They are especially known for their ice cream cakes that are handmade in the shop. The best part? You can customize them however you like!

Located in Luna Park, Coney’s Cones brings a taste of Italy to Brooklyn. Founded in May 2015 by Daniele Dal Sasso, this Brooklyn ice cream shop has 21 amazing gelato flavors that are always hand crafted!

Corrado Macchioni started working for Coney’s Cones in 2017 to help bring the already amazing flavors to the next level. His Italian roots help make this ice cream shop in Brooklyn totally legit!

Oddfellows is a small batch ice cream company that is home to Brooklyn. They are known for their incredibly crazy flavors and even their amazing vegan options! 

This Brooklyn ice cream shop has over 500 different flavors with a mix of weird combinations alongside classic flavors. They have definitely mastered the art of creativity!

The master behind all the crazy combos is pastry chef, Sam Mason. Not only is he a James Beard Award nominee, he’s also a Rising Star Chef!

This ice cream shop in Brooklyn was actually inspired by Mason’s friend, Mohan Kumar. Kumar’s wife was having pregnancy cravings for savory ice cream that no grocery store or ice cream shop was able to fulfill. Mason Created the best pretzel ice cream for Kumar’s wife and that’s how Oddfellows began!

Creme and Cocoa Creamery is a Black-owned business run by a husband-and-wife duo. Omar and Astrid have given this Brooklyn ice cream shop a unique twist with flavors that are native to the Islands and that represent their background in the Caribbean. 

Since opening in 2017, this ice cream shop in Brooklyn has created flavors that can’t be found anywhere else! Some of their recent creations include a dark-chocolate stout and a bacon-bourbon ice cream.

The husband-and-wife duo created this Brooklyn ice cream shop to pay tribute to their home country of Trinidad. They also realized they could create something special by bringing soursop ice cream to the states. 

Since 2015, Island Pops has been selling their flavors in street fairs and food markets, working hard to promote their business. Finally, in 2018, they were able to open a flagship store in Crown Heights!

Monia Solighetto opened L’Albero dei gelati with her husband Alessandro Trezza in 2013. They partnered with their good friend and pastry-chef Mauro to create not only an ice cream shop, but a bakery and restaurant as well! 

This was the first Brooklyn branch of the Italian ice cream shop and it has been a hit in the neighborhood ever since! 

Monia and her husband brought this Italian delicacy to Brooklyn after opening 3 “geletarie” near Milan. They have created this ice cream shop using only the freshest ingredients from small source producers.
