For the sake of this guide, we are combining both the Bed-Stuy and Clinton Hill outdoor dining in Brooklyn options with heat due to their proximity to one another!

Glorietta Baldy 

502 Franklin Ave (opens at 4 pm daily)

A fun spot with outdoor heaters for a beer or wine in Bed-Stuy! This is more of a drinking spot vs. a place to grab a hot meal, but if you’re a beer lover like us you’ll appreciate their extensive craft beer selection!

The Holler

348 Franklin Ave (Closed Mondays)

This Clinton Hill cocktail bar serves up New Orleans-inspired cocktails alongside a list of beers which makes it a great place to sit back and relax while enjoying a drink under one of their heated lamps. There is no kitchen, but don’t worry they have figured out a creative solution to the state of New York’s mandated food sale with alcoholic beverages, you can get a cup of noodles with hot water so you can warm up from the inside out here!

Pillar Cuban Eatery

397 Greene Ave

This Bed-Stuy spot serves up Cuban-style sandwiches and dishes alongside draft brews and wine at their heated outdoor sidewalk seating.

Bunny

449 Nostrand Ave (Closed Mondays – Wednesdays)

This Bed-Stuy bistro offers a daily menu with an uncommon mix of German and Turkish inspired cuisine. Reservations are recommended to enjoy one of their heated sidewalk tables.

BoCoCa

I personally hate this nickname, but for the simplicity of this guide to heated outdoor dining in Brooklyn, it makes sense to lump the neighborhoods of Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, and Carroll Gardens together with this strange sounding nickname for the neighborhood!

Court Street Tavern

One of the most charming and aesthetically pleasing options for the best outdoor dining in Brooklyn with heaters in Carroll Gardens is Court Street Tavern located at the former location of one of the borough’s oldest bars! Serving up American fare and a killer brunch menu at their outdoor tables with heat lamps to keep you cozy on the coldest of days. 

In the winter, they also have one of the many ice rinks in Brooklyn as well as outdoor tvs making it a perfect stop for the whole family.

Black Forest Brooklyn on Smith

Don’t let the exterior of Black Forest Brooklyn on Smith fool you, it doesn’t appear at first glance that this would be an option for the best outdoor dining in Brooklyn, but it is! Behind the building is their heated outdoor patio making it a cozy spot to enjoy your German brews and comfort food!

La Cigogne

215 Union St

This Cobble Hill eatery serves up Alsatian cuisine along with a great selection of wine and beer for pairing on the evenings on weekdays and all day on the weekends. Enjoy their heated outdoor tiny houses with medical-grade filtration using HEPA filters for safety and great airflow while protecting you from the harsh winter elements!

Each of their tiny houses are for individual reservations/tables and are vented out in between guests.

Abilene Bar

One of our personal favorite heated outdoor dining in Brooklyn options in Carroll Gardens is Abilene Bar who offers up not only hot cocktails but heated sidewalk seating to enjoy their Southern comfort food and people watching along Court Street comfortably.

Fragole

This Carroll Gardens eatery serves up homemade mouth-watering Italian cuisine including their delicious pasta dishes with homemade fresh noodles. They have a great outdoor dining in Brooklyn set up under a wooden structure with heaters and recommend you to BYOB (Bring Your Own Blanket) for extra comfort!

This former food truck serving Southeast Asian cuisine featuring flavors from Thailand and Vietnam by Top Chef Finalist Lisa Fernandes offers a great heated outdoor dining in Brooklyn option here in Bushwick! They offer a heated outdoor area, hot beverages, and even hand warmers to guests!

Not only can you find delicious dishes and happy hour specials, but you can pair your meal with a crafted cocktail.

This restaurant also has given back to the community in many ways during the pandemic. Sweet Chili has been giving meals to people in need and supplying everything from toilet paper to bleach and gloves to anyone who needs it or asks plus offered meals to protesters this year on top of committing to equality and actively supporting the LGBTQ community.

Union Pizza Works

This delicious wood-fire pizza spot in Bushwick offers heated outdoor dining on their patio! Try one of their incredible wood-fire pies alongside one of their crafted cocktails while staying cozy!

Crown Heights

A great option for heated outdoor dining in Brooklyn in Crown Heights can be found at the heated, cozy, outdoor patio at St Ends on Franklin Avenue. This popular bar offers an inviting atmosphere with great cocktails, wine, beer, and a selection of bites to pair with one of their crafted cocktails!

This is more of a drinking spot vs. dining, but there are a few food options here!

Barboncino

781 Franklin Ave

I personally love the heated outdoor dining set up at this Crown Heights pizzeria. Their sidewalk seating has individual closed off tables with an open door for a constant flow of fresh air all while being heated from above.

This spot is definitely taking safety seriously and we appreciate that, not to mention their wood-fired pizzas are heavenly.

Downtown Brooklyn & Fort Greene

A fabulous central location for some of the best outdoor dining in Brooklyn. I am lumping Fort Greene in this section since they are so close and just a few minutes walking from one another.

Black Forest Brooklyn

733 Fulton St

Just like their Smith St location, Black Forest Brooklyn offers some of the best outdoor dining in Brooklyn with heat! Their Fort Greene location has heated sidewalk seating as well a covered cabins on Fowler Square to protect patrons from the wind and cold! 

Their winter village has 10 heated glasshouses for private parties, so no sharing your cabins with anyone outside of your household group. In between uses the cabins are aired out and sanitized to prepare for the next guests!

For this style of outdoor dining, we recommend only dining with people from your own household or within your own social bubbles.

Tacombi

25 Lafayette St

One of my favorite spots in the city for some Yucatan inspired tacos are any of the Tacombi locations, I frequent the Downtown Brooklyn/Fort Greene location and adore their outdoor dining setup. They have a stylish, custom-built long glass dome-shaped building that has one side completely open for fresh air flow. 

There are dividers between tables as well as heat! 

Grand Army

336 State St

Another fabulous option for heated outdoor dining in Brooklyn is at Grand Army, this spot offers sophisticated cocktails along with a menu of craft brews to choose from! Pair your drink with their raw-bar menu items like fresh oysters and enjoy their heated outdoor dining area to stay warm and cozy.

Walter’s

166 Dekalb Ave

Known for their drinks, epic weekend brunch menu, and late-night scene, Walter’s is another great option for heated outdoor dining in Brooklyn in Fort Greene. They have two covered, heated outdoor patios offering cozy dining even on the coldest of days!

DSK Brooklyn – Die Stammkneipe

One of our favorites and best outdoor dining in Brooklyn any season is this German beer garden in Fort Greene! Serving up draft German brews and traditional German cuisine, you feel like you’re actually in Germany when you’re here! They have a great outdoor dining setup with heat lamps perfect to keep you warm on even the chilliest of days.

DUMBO

One of the most popular areas for hanging out and dining is easily the majestic waterfront views from DUMBO of the NYC city skyline and both the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges. Cecconi’s DUMBO

When it comes to views and heated outdoor dining in Brooklyn it doesn’t get much better than Cecconi’s in DUMBO where you can find socially distanced outdoor tables with personal heaters along with a menu featuring wood-fired pizzas, pasta, and other Italian dishes along with craft cockails, and waterfront views of the city and both Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge.

The private dining houses also are equipped with Bluetooth speakers so you can play your own music if you’d like! The houses are aired out and sanitized between parties to ensure health and safety!

King Mother

This is one of the best outdoor dining in Brooklyn spots if you’re wanting entertainment too, besides serving up craft cocktails and tacos, ParkLife also does free outdoor movie nights on Wednesdays & Sundays!

Wild East Brewing Co.

623 Sackett Ave

If you’re a fan of breweries then this is the spot for you! Wild East Brewing Co. is the newest addition to the many incredible breweries in the borough as well as a great place for heated outdoor dining in Brooklyn with great craft beers on draft!

Their set up has an outdoor heated area with big picnic tables spaced out 6ft apart along with side panels for wind protection and cover overhead to keep you dry from rain or snow! Pair your brew with small snacks like chips or pizza from Union Street Pizza by the slice or whole pie!

Sweet Talk

This Tropical cocktail bar and Hawaiian eatery in Gowanus offers a great option for heated outdoor dining in Brooklyn in their covered cabana with open airflow. Because of the tropical theme and the heaters, you may be able to even trick yourself into believing that breeze you feel is a tropical one.

This Gowanus location has a big heated outdoor tented section that’s completely open facing the restaurant for constant airflow as well as individual tables with their own heatlamps.

Her restaurant, Pasta Louise is named after her grandmother and you can enjoy this neighborhood favorite spot well into the winter with their heated outdoor dining set up.

Miriam

Miriam brings the flavors of Tel Aviv, Israel to Park Slope for some of the most unbelievably delicious Mediterranean cuisine experiences we’ve had in the city. Whether you’re coming for their famed brunch or any meal, you will not be disappointed. Our favorite is the shakshuka, but everything is top-notch.

Their outdoor dining is really comfortable too, their outdoor setup features individual, open-air tables with heaters so your table can dine comfortably with constant fresh airflow.
