25+ BEST Brunch in NYC Right NOW! (Local Foodie’s Guide)

Looking for the best brunch in NYC? We got you. Brunch in New York is a big deal. As someone who loves to dine out and enjoy the fantastic culinary scene this city has to offer, brunch is without a doubt one of my favorite ways to enjoy and devour the foodie scene in New York.

The city has been named the culinary capital of the world and boasts over 27,000 restaurants and that number keeps growing. Without a doubt, this is one of the best foodie destinations on the globe so it goes without saying, enjoying the dining scene here is one of the best things to do in New York City.

Keep in mind, these lists are never complete, they are ever-changing. This post will change and evolve just as the food scene does here in New York City. And one thing to keep in mind, I am a pancake lover, so you can expect some great pancakes made this round-up of my favorite brunch spots in New York City. And if you’re a pancake lover, check out my guide to the best pancakes in NYC too.

And don’t worry, all of these spots have savory options too in case someone doesn’t have a sweet tooth in your group!

So without further ado, here’s where the best brunch in NYC is right now plus suggestions of what to try.

Brunch Spots in New York City to Check Out

Golden Diner

123 Madison Street, Two Bridges

If you’ve been on Instagram, you’ve seen the hype that is Golden Diner. Located on the border of the Lower East Side and Chinatown in a neighborhood known as Two Bridges, this is by far one of the best spots for brunch in Manhattan and easily a top brunch spot in New York City.

The inside of Golden Diner is very small and has all the nostalgic vibes that you would expect from a diner. A long metal counter with round metal stools and small diner-style tables curate the space but that isn’t even the beginning of the best part about this place.

The menu here is an uptake on the classics from club sandwiches to BEC and the coveted Golden Diner pancakes but I promise once you eat here there won’t be many diners that compare, and we love ourselves some old-school diners in NYC.

I love a good breakfast sandwich so I’m here to tell you that the Chinatown Breakfast Sandwich is one of the most incredible things you’ll ever eat. The chicken katsu club should not be skipped and make sure you order it with the fries and pickle. It is more than worth the extra money.

The honey butter pancakes are a must for every table. Make sure you add some greens as well with the Thai Cobb Salad that like everything else on this menu puts your traditional cobb salad to shame. You’ve already over-ordered so you might as well get the matzoh ball soup as well. After all, you are at a diner. Round out your meal with the green tea coffee cake and then walk everything off through one of the best neighborhoods in NYC.

The best [art about this NYC brunch spot is that it is open for brunch every day of the week except Monday. The second best spot is that they also take reservations. Weekends get packed so I recommend going on a weekday for the best available times. Golden Diner offers both indoor and covered outdoor dining.

Clinton Street Baking Company

4 Clinton Street (East Village, Manhattan) & 55 Water Street (DUMBO, Brooklyn)

Another place that was made famous long before the world of Instagram but still gets all the recognition it deserves is Clinton Street Baking Company located in the Lower East Side in Manhattan with a location in DUMBO in Brooklyn too!

Clinton Street Baking Company also has a similar ambiance of diner vibes and while there are great things on the menu, you come for the perfectly fluffy and perfectly delicious pancakes. Complete with your choice of blueberries, chocolate chunk or banana walnut they are all served with warm maple butter and will truly melt in your mouth. They also have a rotating pancake of the month.

If pancakes aren’t your thing, Clinton Street Baking Company also has a great southern buttermilk biscuit sandwich, a classic country breakfast and huevos rancheros.

The location in Brooklyn is located within Time Out Market in DUMBO and is open every day from early to late. The Lower East Side location is open every day at 9 am and accepts reservations!

Time Out Market location has both indoor and outdoor seating while the Lower East Side location is indoors only. Reservations are highly recommended for the Lower East Side location and if you don’t have them expect to wait at least an hour. They do, however, have a take out window next door if that is more your vibe. There is a reason why these pancakes are some of the best in NYC and some of the absolute best brunch in NYC.

Russ and Daughters

179 Houston Street (takeout only), 127 Orchard Street, 141 Flushing Avenue  (Building 77, Navy Yard, Brooklyn)

I’m not going to lie. I one hundred percent thought this place would be completely overhyped but then I went and all my doubts went completely out the window. This is truly one of the best bagels and lox you will ever eat if not THE best you’ll ever eat, immediately making it some of the best brunch in NYC based on one item alone, and not to mention this city is known for its bagels so it’s on the best bagels in NYC round-up too.

The space is small and while reservations are not accepted, if you get there early you shouldn’t have to wait long for a table. If you do have to wait, there are plenty of things to do around and the Lower East Side is a great place to walk around and explore.

If you dine inside Russ & Daughters, make sure you order the classic board. I didn’t even think I loved lox and now I can’t stop getting it at every bagel shop I go to (and nothing compares). Don’t skip out on the matzoh ball soup or the babka french toast. If you’re a fan of caviar and have some extra cash to spare, the soft scrambled eggs and caviar was absolutely incredible as well as the classic caviar spread.

The Houston Street location is open every day from 8 am to 4 pm and is for to go items only. They do accept call ahead orders. The Orchard street location is the cafe and where you can sit down and enjoy your meal.

Maison Pickle

2315 Broadway, Upper West Side

The menu at Maison Pickle has a little bit of something for everyone making this Upper West Side restaurant one of the best spots for brunch in New York. It is also a large space under New York City standards making it the perfect place for a brunch with friends or even with a small group.

Like I mentioned above, there really is something for everyone on this menu but there are definitely some items that stand above the rest. The best thing on the menu are the pickles to start, french onion soup, challah french toast, and french dip sandwich. The hot honey fried chicken and toast is also a crowd pleaser. The latter two offer a variety of options, each one just as good as the one before so you really can’t go wrong.

The portions are very large here so come prepared to share, which is best because then you can just try more of everything.

Maison Pickle is open every day for breakfast with an opening time on the weekends at 9 am and opening at 11 am during the week. They accept reservations and have both indoor and outdoor dining.

Sunday in Brooklyn

348 Wythe Avenue, Williamsburg

If you’ve read any of my brunch guides before you know how important I find pancakes on the brunch menu and the Instagram famed pancakes are worth every bite (and penny) and alone make Sunday in Brooklyn one of the top spots for brunch in New York and one of the best spots for brunch in Brooklyn.

Sunday in Brooklyn not only has some of the best cozy vibes in all of the Brooklyn restaurants (and some of the best pancakes) but they also have a great winter popup. During the winter, they are more commonly known as “Snowdays in Brooklyn,” complete with festive drinks and the perfect amount of comfort food. Don’t sleep on their cocktails either.

They also have an amazing third-story rooftop for the warmer winter days and sunny summer months.

Sunday in Brooklyn accepts reservations and offers both indoor and outdoor dining. They are open 7 days a week for breakfast and brunch and is a great place for weekday breakfast or the perfect spot for weekend brunch with friends.

Chez Ma Tante

90 Cayler Street, Greenpoint

Going through this brunch guide I really didn’t plan to highlight the pancakes everywhere but they are absolutely incredible at Chez Ma Tante, one of the best places to eat in Greenpoint. This NYC brunch spot is known primarily for their pancakes (which you should 100% order) Not to mention, it is an extremely cute, minimalistic space and the perfect spot for brunch in New York.

As for the food, the menu is simple and they do standard dishes very well. Back to the aforementioned pancakes. They should definitely be on your table and if there are more than 2 of you, I recommend more than one. Made in a cast iron skillet, the pancakes are created with a perfect char and then topped with the perfect amount of butter and maple syrup.

In addition to the pancakes, Chez Ma Tante has something called a potato tortilla, which resembles a cake with egg, potato, and caramelized onions and then topped with olive oil. Their croque madame is delicious and I recently went with friends who ordered the quiche, which also happened to be one of the best I’ve had in the city.

Chez Ma Tante is open for brunch on the weekends. They offer reservations through Resy and have both indoor and outdoor seating options available.

B&H Dairy

127 2nd Avenue, East Village

B&H Dairy is an NYC institution and for good reason. Located in the East Village, this is one of the last kosher lunch counters left in the city and also happens to be one of the best places for brunch in Manhattan.

This is a lunch counter so order accordingly. This means matzo ball soup, cheese blintzes, tuna melt, borscht, latkes and pierogies. If none of those options satisfy you, the menu is large and has something for everyone.

B&H Dairy is open every day for breakfast till late but are closed on Mondays. They offer indoor dining and reservations are not accepted.

Bubby’s

A post shared by Bubby’s (@bubbys)

120 Hudson Street, TriBeCa

Another top (and maybe the top) spot for pancakes is Bubby’s, another famous brunch spot in New York City as well. This Tribeca eatery has been one of the best for years and continues to remain one of my favorite places for a weekday breakfast or a weekend brunch with friends.

If you love pancakes as much as I do, the pancake flight is your only option. It’s heavy but so delicious it would be a shame to miss out on. They also have some of my favorite buttermilk biscuits and I will not lie and say I’ve been above coming here by myself and ordering the pancakes with a biscuit on the side.

They’ve also got some delicious egg plates and all your other favorite breakfast classics if you need something savory to go with the sweet.

Bubby’s is open every day for breakfast and serves said breakfast until 4 pm, a rarity in the NYC brunch world. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining and reservations are not accepted. If you come on the weekends, expect to wait but weekday brunch is usually an easy time to get in, especially with a small group or a solo outing.

Buvette

A post shared by M (@eriic__m)

42 Grove Street, West Village

Hailing from Paris with locations all over the globe, you already know that the aesthetics of Buvette are going to be some of the best in the city. Not to mention, they are located in the West Village, which might be argued as one of the best neighborhoods in Manhattan. They also have some of the best eggs I’ve ever eaten and make some of the best brunch in Manhattan around.

While the egg dishes or les oeufs are the star of the show, the waffles are also some of the best I’ve ever had. They also have an amazing assortment of pastries that feel like they are straight from a Parisian patisserie.

Buvette is open every day for breakfast until late. They accept reservations and I highly recommend grabbing one if you can because I’ve never been or walked by Buvette without there being a line down the block. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining.

Balthazar

80 Spring Street, SoHo

There are so many classic and iconic New York City restaurants and Balthazar in SoHo is one of those. Just like Buvette mentioned above, Balthazar takes its aesthetics from the classic French bistro with a long mirrored bar and large red banquettes.

The menu is simple but large at Baltazar and if you’re going for the first time, there is nothing better than the le panier, a basket of fresh baked breads and pastries. They also have all the classics from eggs to tartines.

Balthazar is also the perfect place to dine alone. So perfect in fact that they gift you with a complimentary glass of champagne, which is reason enough to have Balthazar for brunch in New York.

Balthazar is open every day for breakfast and serves a brunch menu on the weekends. They close at random times throughout the day so make sure you check out their hours before visiting. Reservations are accepted and they have both indoor and outdoor dining.

Ruby’s Cafe

219 Mulberry Street (Nolita), 198 E 11th Street (East Village), 442 3rd Avenue (Murray Hill)

It seemed for a couple of years every new restaurant that opened was a cafe from Australians and honestly, that is one of the best things that happened to New York. Ruby’s Cafe is just another one of those amazing spots that continue to be some of the best brunch in NYC.

The space is minimalist and simple with all white walls and small wooden tables. There are ricotta hotcakes on the menu, which should obviously definitely be on your table. Other incredible dishes that make Ruby’s a top brunch spot in NYC include the green eggs bowl, big breakfast, and of course, the egg sandwich. Honorable mention to the corn fritters because they are also super delightful.

Ruby’s Cafe does not accept reservations but they open early and usually even if there is a wait, the wait goes pretty quickly. All locations have both indoor and outdoor dining.

La Mercerie

53 Howard Street, SoHo

Continuing with the theme of not American restaurants for a moment we travel over to SoHo for one of the most beautiful restaurants in all of New York, La Mercerie.

The weekend menu is more of your traditional French brunch/breakfast fare with eggs, granola, crepes and croque monsieurs while the weekday menu has quiches, soups (if they have the butternut squash soup on the menu please order because it is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten) and nicoise.

The weekday menu also has quiche and crepes as well and while it changes regularly, you will always have plenty of options to be more than satisfied. Plus, you are dining in one of the most beautiful spaces so what is not to love?

La Mercerie opens daily at 11:30 am and on the weekends at 10 am. They accept reservations and I recommend trying to get here when they open so you can see the beauty of the space without a ton of other people. They also have a very cute, yet expensive, shop attached to the restaurant if you’re in need of a little shopping after some of the best brunch in NYC.

Joseph Leonard

170 Waverly Place, Greenwich Village

Another one of the best places for brunch in Manhattan that is probably no surprise is Joseph Leonard. Situated on a charming street corner in Greenwich Village, the atmosphere and ambiance itself is enough to make you want to go visit.

As far as food goes, there isn’t a bad thing on the menu. The menu is our standard breakfast fare but the biggest highlights include their unique take on an egg sandwich, the croque madame (of course), and baguette french toast. If you’re there on the weekend, the menu is the same but they add their signature (and delicious) burger and chicken sandwich.

Joseph Leonard is open for breakfast every day of the week with a special brunch menu on the weekends. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining and I highly recommend a spot on their outdoor sidewalk on the warmer days and on the colder days in the winter, their indoor dining is some of the coziest in town.

Reservations are accepted and if you’re in the mood for more great food from the same restaurant group check out their other two West Village places, Fairfax and Jeffrey’s Grocery across the street.

Davelle

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by DAVELLE (@davelle.nyc)

102 Suffolk Street, Lower East Side

You initially come to Davelle for the toasts. You then discover that this small yet cozy space has so much more to offer and that just makes you keep coming back for more. There is always a wait and for good reason, as is this is definitely one of the best brunch spots in New York City.

As for the aforementioned toasts, you really can’t go wrong with any of them but my favorites are the cinnamon butter, honey lemon, and the black sesame and cream cheese. They also have rotating specials and all of them look almost too pretty to touch. Because this is a Japanese restaurant, you also should have an order of chicken katsu on your table. The miso soup is also incredible. Really, you can’t wrong with anything at this Lower East Side gem.

Davelle does not accept reservations and has very limited seating both indoors and outdoors. They are open every day starting at 8 am during the week and 9 am on the weekends until 5 pm each day. They do have some bar seating available as well.

Cookshop

156 10th Avenue, Chelsea

Heading a little more uptown and over to the west side in Chelsea, the next place on the list for some great brunch in Manhattan is Cookshop. Cookshop is one of those places that you always know you will consistently have a good meal no matter what time of day you’re visiting or what you’re ordering.

As far as what to order, you cannot go wrong with any of the breakfast pastries with the best one being my impartial opinion for the buttermilk biscuit. The beignets are also something to be desired and a great thing to share with friends.

As far as entrees go, the scramble and egg sandwich are my favorite things on the menu but they also have a great cheeseburger and huevos rancheros.

Cookshop accepts reservations and serves brunch on the weekends starting at 10 am. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining and due to their consistency and the fact that it has been a top restaurant in Manhattan for years, it’s no surprise that they also serve some of the best brunch in NYC.

Rule of Thirds

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Rule Of Thirds (@thirdsbk)

171 Banker Street, Greenpoint

Another Greenpoint brunch spot with some amazing vibes is Rule of Thirds in Brooklyn. This restaurant has all the perfect vibes including a giant glass canister of sake in the middle of the restaurant, counter seating where you can watch the chefs go to work and truly one of the best outdoor setups in New York.

Once again, the pancake has become the star of the show. At Rule of Thirds, this is in the form of the Japanese soufflé pancake. It melts in your mouth and is single-handedly worth a visit alone. Other standout items are the Karaage (fried chicken), smashed potato, and the rice with poached egg.

Rule of Thirds is open for brunch on the weekends and offers both indoor and outdoor dining. They accept reservations through Resy, which I definitely recommend if you do not want to wait.

Breakfast by Salt’s Cure

27 ½ Morton Street, West Village

The West Village is one of those neighborhoods that you can really rely on for a great culinary scene, including brunch. This is definitely the case with the Los Angeles transplant of Breakfast by Salt’s Cure which offers some of the best brunch in NYC.

The oatmeal griddle pancakes are what Salt’s Cure is known for and for very good reason. Coming in a stack of three, they come in a variety of flavors from the original to a variety of fruit or chocolate options. They also offer single pancakes if you just want to try a bite and are more interested in ordering eggs or sandwiches, which are also very delicious.

Breakfast by Salt’s Cure is open every for breakfast and late lunch (closing at 3 pm) except for Mondays. They also are opening up their second location in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn in the next few months.

Yellow Rose

102 3rd Avenue, East Village

Tex-Mex which lives up to my standards of being an Oklahoma native is hard to find if not almost impossible to find in New York City. Yellow Rose in the East Village defies those odds and creates not only great Tex-Mex but also offers made-to-order flour tortillas, which is an automatic win for a best NYC brunch spot.

Aside from the incredible food (don’t leave without trying the bean and cheese taco), the honkey-tonk meets antique store vibes of the restaurant are something to be desired. Not to mention Dolly Parton seems to be playing every time I’ve dined here so it’s a win-win in my book.

As far as what else to order, the potato and egg (add cheese) taco and the migas are two of the best on the menu. They also have donuts (if for some reason you don’t like tacos), which are actually incredibly delicious. Also, if the Texas sheet cake is available, don’t leave without ordering a piece.

Yellow Rose is open for brunch on the weekends. They accept reservations and offer both indoor and outdoor dining.

Atla

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by ATLA (@eatatla)

372 Lafayette Street, NoHo

Atla is easily one of the best spots for brunch in Manhattan and while their prices are definitely on the higher end (one shrimp taco costs $15), the bright space filled with locals and tourists alike makes the price point worth every bite.

The chefs at Atla are the same as Cosme and Pujol so it was an automatic must-visit for me. If you haven’t been to Cosme in Flatiron, stop what you’re doing and get a reservation immediately. If you ever find yourself in Mexico City, make sure that the tasting menu at Pujol is included on your itinerary. You will not regret either scenario.

Back to Atla. Yes, one shrimp taco is $15 but yes, it is beyond delicious and you should order one, even if you need to share it three ways. Order the quesadilla so you can have a side of the salsa verde. It might be the best thing here followed very closely by this giant bowl of mushrooms or, Maitake En Salsa Verde. And they’ve got chilaquiles, need I say more?

Atla is located in the NoHo neighborhood and is open for brunch on the weekends. They accept reservations and have both indoor and outdoor dining. Reservations are recommended because it does get very busy on the weekends.

Thai Diner

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by epicure (@topf5ve)

186 Mott Street, NoLita

There is a reason why Thai Diner is consistently rated one of the best restaurants in NYC. They also happen to serve breakfast all day long and their egg sandwiches is by far one of my favorite things in all of New York.

For some of the more native New Yorkers, you have probably heard of Uncle Boons. To some of us newer New Yorkers, Thai Diner is the second coming complete with all of the best Uncle Boons had to offer.

Obviously, you order the egg sandwich. I just mentioned it as one of the best in New York and just from this article alone you can easily tell I’m an avid egg sandwich connoisseur.

After that, order the baan salad. Yes, a salad is that good that is the second thing I’m recommending. The Thai disco fries, phat see elw and the french toast are also nonnegotiables. Everything else on the menu is also incredible and you truly cannot go wrong with anything on this menu (I know I’ve said it before but in this case, it is especially true).

Thai Diner is located in Nolita and is open every day at 11 and brunch on the weekends. No matter when you come, reservations are very much recommended but also very hard to get. My recommendation? Go right when they open for a late breakfast/early lunch. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining.

Cafe Mogador

101 St. Marks Place (East Village) & 133 Wythe Avenue (Williamsburg)

Cafe Mogador is one of those NYC brunch spots that has something for everyone. It also feels homey in the best way and the Williamsburg location has one of my favorite outdoor patios for people-watching, not to mention one of my favorite restaurants in the Williamsburg period, a foodie-heavy neighborhood.

As far as good goes, there are multiple fantastic things on the menu. The Moroccan egg dish is one of my favorite things on the menu. They also have one of the best greek salads in town and whether this truly fits in the “breakfast” category doesn’t matter because it’s on the menu so it’s clearly meant to be ordered any time of day. The buttermilk pancakes are also delicious.

Cafe Mogador is open every day at 10 am for breakfast/brunch. They accept reservations and both locations have both indoor and outdoor dining.

Sidney’s Five

103 1st Avenue, East Village

Sidney’s Five is a primarily American spot in the East Village but they also serve some incredible brunch in New York. They also happen to have one of my favorite bars in New York. They also have a whole menu dedicated to martinis.

The best thing on the menu is the Balthazar french toast. Yes, the same Balthazar that is mentioned above, they use their famous bread in some of their best brunch dishes. If you want something more savory but still have that taste of Balthazar deliciousness the five-cheese grilled cheese is incredible.

Sidney’s Five is open for brunch on the weekends. They accept reservations and offer both indoor and outdoor dining. While I”m usually a huge proponent for outdoor dining, the interior at Sidney’s Five is so nice, I highly recommend a spot at the bar for this one.

Veselka

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Veselka (@veselkanyc)

144 2nd Avenue, Lower East Side

Just like B&H Dairy listed above, another one of the most iconic restaurants in NYC is Veselka, a Ukrainian restaurant that has stood the test of time (and the decor makes you feel like you’re there since it opened in the 1950s in the best way possible). Located in the East Village, Veselka offers not only some of the best vibes in NYC but also some of the best brunch in New York City.

The menu is large but the only thing you’re going to have difficulty with is narrowing it down. Breakfast is also served all day so that complicates things even more. If you’re there for a later brunch, order the pierogies. They’re still my favorite in the city and they come with more filling than any other place. They also let you order singles so you can try more variety and you can pan fry or boil them!

For more breakfast items, they’ve got all the Ukrainian specialties and more. They also have challah toast for a $1 so make sure that is included with no matter what you order.

Veselka is open every day from early until late. Pre-pandemic it was open 24 hours but right now we’ll definitely take what we can for some for some of the ebay and most iconic food in NYC, not to mention a top brunch spot in New York City. They do not accept reservations but offer both indoor and outdoor dining.

Miss Lily’s 7A Cafe

A post shared by Miss Lily’s (@misslilys)

109 Avenue A, East Village

There is no way you’ve Googled the best bottomless brunch in NYC and Miss Lily’s 7A Cafe in Alphabet City/East Village hasn’t come up as the top choice. Not only do they have an incredible bottomless deal but they also have the decor to make you feel like you’re in Jamaica, on the beach drinking a Red Stripe, and eating consistently delicious good food, something that a lot of bottomless brunches don’t actually deliver on.

This is a Jamaican restaurant so don’t skip out on anything jerk or jerk chicken related. The jerk corn appetizer is especially delicious. Follow that with a pitcher of any of their specialty cocktails, their world-famous (truly) jerk chicken and obviously, if you’ve made it this far in this guide you know I’m going to recommend any time pancakes are on the menu. These are coconut flavored and truly delicious.

Miss Lily’s 7A accepts reservations and offers both indoor and outdoor dining. They are open for brunch on the weekends.

The Fulton by Jean-Georges

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by The Fulton (@thefultonnyc)

89 South Street, Pier 17 South Street Seaport

If you’re looking for great quality food and truly one of the best views in Manhattan, make sure to head to South Street Seaport for a delicious brunch in Manhattan at The Fulton. Also, the name of the restaurant itself includes Jean-Georges so that is already a clear indication it’s going to be good.

As far as what to order, all of the seafood is incredible and while it is on the pricier side, it is worth every bite. Their caviar is also something to be desired. They also have an incredible dutch pancake if you want something sweet and a lot of options for savory benedicts.

The Fulton is open for lunch/brunch every day. They accept reservations and offer both indoor and outdoor dining. Either spot (indoors or out) offers incredible views and you will not be disappointed in either situation.

Upland

345 Park Avenue South, Kips Bay

Upland is one of those places that you’ve probably walked past a million times and not thought much of it. Or maybe that was just me but once I finally made it a priority to visit this place, I was disappointed it had taken me so long to try it.

First and foremost, you must order the burger. It is one of the top burgers in the city. I’m not sure if it’s the peppers or the avocado or the combination of both but it is truly one of the best burgers you will ever eat. If burgers aren’t your thing or you want something a little more “brunchy” they also have delicious egg plates. They also have some very delicious pizzas and pastas for you to enjoy. Needless to say, this is another place where it would be great to come with lots of people so you can try some of everything.

Upland is located in the Flatiron and Kips Bay area of Manhattan and is open for brunch every weekend starting at 10 am. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating and accept reservations.

Quality Eats

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Quality Eats (@quality_eats)

19 Greenwich Avenue (West Village) & 1496 2nd Avenue (Upper West Side)

Quality Eats is another one of those brunch spots in Manhattan where you can take people and everyone will be satisfied with something to order. They also have two locations on opposite sides of town, which make it even easier to please everyone.

The menu is big but not completely overwhelming where it is hard to choose. All of the dishes with eggs are great but you must start with the monkey bread. Also, make sure you order a side of the brown bag curly fries. They are delicious and really outside of Arby’s, how often are you seeing curly fries?

Quality Eats is open at both locations for brunch on the weekends. Both locations offer both indoor and outdoor dining and reservations are accepted.

Jack’s Wife Freda

50 Carmine Street (West Village), 226 Lafayette Street (SoHo), 116 8th Avenue (Chelsea), 258 Wythe Avenue (Williamsburg)

As you can easily tell just from the locations alone, Jack’s Wife Freda is taking over Manhattan (and Brooklyn). I’m sure you’ve seen the hype on online somewhere or walked by a location at one point or another and while this place tends to be extra hyped, it is worth the hype and definitely some of the best brunch in NYC.

For breakfast, Jack’s Wife Freda has a lot of great options but my favorite thing on the menu is the Mediterranean breakfast. Partly because of the labneh and pita but mostly because of the green sauce on the side that is maybe one of the most delicious things in the world. The rosewater waffle is also a staple.

Each location accepts reservations and offers both indoor and outdoor dining. Some spaces are smaller and larger than others and some have more patio seating (the SoHo location is the best for this). All locations are also open early to late every day of the week.

Vinegar Hill House

breakfast-sandwich-at-Vinegar-Hill-House-in-Brooklyn

72 Hudson Avenue, Vinegar Hill

Vinegar Hill House is definitely one of the most beautiful restaurants in all of New York, both indoors and outdoors. Located in the tiny neighborhood known as Vinegar Hill, a neighborhood is in between Navy Yard and DUMBO, a true little hidden gem of a neighborhood if you ask me.

While the inside resembles that of an upscale cabin with all the best knick-knacks, the real beauty in this restaurant is outdoors. The patio is something to be desired but the best part is the greenhouse like seating area. If you’re ever in need of a place for a small gathering, this is by far the perfect location.

As far as good goes, this NYC brunch spot also has some incredible pancakes. They also have some delicious yogurt and granola, sourdough toast and a delightful egg sandwich. They also have seasonal rotations, all of which never disappoint.

Vinegar Hill House accepts reservations and offers brunch on the weekends. As mentioned above, they offer indoor and outdoor dining for some of the best brunch in NYC.

Locanda Verde

377 Greenwich Street, TriBeCa

Probably one of the coziest places to hide from the cold or the rain is at Locanda Verde, a restaurant attached to a hotel but doesn’t feel like a restaurant attached to a hotel (in the best way). They are also open basically all day, which makes it great for anytime you need a good bite to eat.

For brunch in particular, Locanda Verde is known for their lemon ricotta pancakes. They are covered in blueberries and lemon curd, making them even that much more delicious. They also have great egg dishes and some incredible pastries.

Locanda Verde is open every day for breakfast and brunch on the weekends. They close at parts of the day so make sure to check the hours before going. They also accept reservations and offer both indoor and outdoor dining.

There you have it! My favorite brunch spots in NYC that I can confidently say are some of the best options for brunch in New York! Is your favorite missing? Let us know in the comments below.
