Looking for things to do in Brooklyn at night? We’ve got you covered. Yes, NYC is known for its incredible nightlife, from clubs, late-night eats, shows, and the underground party scene you can find more than enough things to do in NYC at night, but what if we told you the best spots to be a night owl in this city is in Brooklyn?
I mean, we are a bit biased, sure. We love Brooklyn, hence the entire nature of this Brooklyn travel website. But Brooklyn has an incredible nightlife scene including popular neighborhoods like Bushwick and Williamsburg, not to mention all the other hidden gem spots that offer plenty of nightlife activities from partying all night in the city’s best nightclubs to more low-key Brooklyn night activities like seeing a movie with the skyline in the backdrop or sipping wine from a rooftop.
No matter what kind of nightlife you’re looking for, here are the best places to visit in Brooklyn at night.
Best Places to go in Brooklyn at Night
House of Yes
Say less, House of Yes is easily one of the top things to do in Brooklyn at night. This one is for the night owls looking for a top-tier nightclub that’s performance-forward. House of Yes hosts cage dancers, live music, cabaret, themed parties, and everything in between.
Located in Bushwick, House of Yes is open Wednesday-Saturday until 4 AM every night except Wednesdays, when the club closes at 2 AM.
Most events on Fridays and Saturdays are themed parties where guests are highly encouraged to dress in accordance with the theme. Every other night of the week, House of Yes asks that you get creative with your costumes! For inspiration, check out their Pinterest page! If you’re into nightclubs, this will be a must on your list of places to go in Brooklyn at night.
This is one of the most unforgettable nightlife experiences you can have not only in NYC, but the world!
Time for wine? Always. Rooftop Reds, located at The Brooklyn Navy Yard, made history as the world’s first commercially viable urban rooftop winery and is at the top of our list of things to do in Brooklyn at night.
With incredible skyline views and robust wines, Rooftop Reds is one of the most unique experiences New York City has to offer.
When planning a visit to Rooftop Reds, there are a few key things to keep in mind. A reservation is required to visit the winery, guests who arrive without a reservation will not be allowed in. Furthermore, there is a $15 cover charge for each guest. And while outside food is not permitted, Rooftop Reds provides a decadent lite bites menu or the option to order wood-burning brick oven pizzas from Il Porto.
Keep an eye out for special ticketed events like Pizza Wine Movie Nights happening at Rooftop Reds all season long. While the winery may be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, it is easily one of the best places to go in Brooklyn at night every other day of the week.
Night Skyline Views from Brooklyn Bridge Park
If you know Brooklyn, you know this is one of the best things to do in Brooklyn at night. Whether it’s date night or you’re playing tour guide, Brooklyn Bridge Park offers one of the best views in all of the city, especially at night.
Starting with one of the first must-see views, find yourself under the Brooklyn Bridge across from the TimeOut Market and in front of Jane’s Carousel. From here, you get a picturesque view of the Brooklyn Bridge as well as the entire Manhattan skyline—Jane’s Carousel lit up also adds a sweet romantic touch, if that’s what you’re looking for.
The next option is to grab a scoop or two from Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory and look out onto the water from the DUMBO/Fulton Ferry pier. Taking this vantage point one step further would be catching a water taxi to Lower Manhattan, which can run as late as 9:18 PM.
And last but not least, our favorite viewpoint is from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade. After a lovely stroll through Downtown Brooklyn and Montague Street, you will find the main entrance to the park. Stretching over 1,800 feet atop the BQE, this is always one of the things to do in Brooklyn at night that will never disappoint.
Grab a spot on one of the many benches with your to-go dinner, dessert, or favorite person and you’ll wish that time could stand still.
This is just a good time, in general, to also walk the length of Brooklyn Bridge Park along the waterfront. There are so many great vantage points of the night skyline and plenty of quiet places to sit too.
Walk the Brooklyn Bridge
If you’re too late to catch the water taxi, walking will get the job done too. Whether you’re going to Manhattan or coming back from, walking the Brooklyn Bridge is one of the most cinematic things to do in Brooklyn at night.
The Brooklyn Bridge walk is just over a mile long with plenty of spots to pull over, snap a couple of photos, or just soak in the city. Walking the Brooklyn Bridge is one of the easiest go-to things to do in Brooklyn at night if you’re looking for something lowkey to do and oftentimes, unless it’s a holiday, this is one of the least crowded times to enjoy one of the most iconic things to do in NYC!
This is a great idea for dates, showing around first-timers, or even when you need some alone time.
See a Movie at Skyline Drive-In
One of the best things to do in Brooklyn at night has to be catching a movie with the gorgeous views of the Manhattan skyline as a backdrop.
